About Julia Graham, M.D., MS
Dr. Graham's area of academic interest are the socioeconomic determinants of health that affect health system utilization among high-need/high-cost COPD patients. Healthcare disparities are inherently a political and social issue, prompting her current Master's degree studies in Health Policy and Economics to further aid her research approach and methodology. Her current projects include examining the attributable risk of social determinants of health on hospital readmission after COPD exacerbation, risk of transportation barriers on health outcomes, and a qualitative evaluation of hospital leadership stakeholder perspectives on the barriers to providing integrated care to COPD patients with comorbidities and social disadvantage.
